The Royal Agricultural Society has confirmed that Waikato A & P Association will host the 2011 Royal Show.
For the past four years, the event has been held in Christchurch.
The society's president, Bruce Orr, says Waikato A & P Association has the backing of the Hamilton City Council and two professional event management teams.
He says the future of Royal Shows in New Zealand is bright and the Royal Agricultural Society board is working on new proposals which it will put to members at next year's AGM.
