Test results on Friday showed a further 14 kiwifruit orchards are infected with the vine disease PSA, including the first in Waikato.
Zespri says a total of 51 orchards are now affected. The majority are within 23km of Te Puke, which has 11 new cases.
There is also a new case confirmed in Hawke's Bay and one in Tauranga.
Whakatane, Edgecumbe, Golden Bay and Motueka are also affected.
Sixteen of the 51 confirmed cases are green kiwifruit orchards and 35 are gold.
