Bill Falconer to retire from MIA

The Meat Industry Association has announced chairman Bill Falconer will retire next month.

Mr Falconer has spent 15 years with the trade association, which represents New Zealand's meat processors and exporters.

He will be replaced by John Loughlin on 6 April.

Mr Loughlin is a former chair of Zespri and is also on the boards of Tru-Test and EastPack.

He was also the chief executive of Hawke's Bay meat processor Richmond Limited from 1997 to 2002.
