Organic companies eye Korean market

A delegation of a dozen organic companies is in South Korea as part of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise efforts to establish a market in that country.

Organic Systems managing director Brendan Hoare said Korea was one of the biggest organic markets for New Zealand and it was also a trend-setter in Asia.

"There's a lot of opportunity for New Zealand companies who get it right - and getting it right takes a bit of work. And that's what the path to market programme's about," Mr Hoare said.

The dozen companies dealt in products ranging from wines to skin care, oils and groceries, he said.
