A new farm data code of practice launched this week outlines steps organisations must take to protect farmers' data.
Dairy NZ was one of the organisations involved in developing the new rules. Its chief executive Tim Mackle said the code of practice would increase the security of farmers' information as well as the speed and ease with which it was shared.
