Biosecurity NZ gives all-clear on swine flu

Biosecurity New Zealand says the country's pigs are free of swine flu and pose no risk to humans.

Animal response team manager Andre van Halderen says biosecurity measures on farms are focused on making sure humans do not transfer the virus to pigs.

The Food and Agricultural Organisation is urging governments around the world to step up disease surveillance in swine herds.
