The All Black half back Andy Ellis says the side is excited about the opportunity to play during the day in their World Cup match against Canada in Wellington on Sunday.

However, it's not just because the sun might be on their back... they're also keen to see the Warriors play in the NRL grand final that night.

It will be a unique situation for most of the players, with most Super Rugby and all regular rugby tests here played at night time.

Ellis says the team is pretty excited about the Warriors and he expects something will be set up in the team room so that All Blacks can watch the grand final beginning at 8.20pm.
