Police in Auckland say Saturday night's Rugby World Cup game at North Harbour stadium, ran smoothly, in contrast to Friday night in central Auckland.
Far bigger crowds than expected and train delays lasting two hours, kept police and Cup officials busy throughout Friday night.
Two thousand people missed the opening ceremony at Eden Park.
However, the first game on the North Shore, between France and Japan saw everything running to schedule, with all the crowd cleared from North Harbour stadium at Albany in just over an hour.
There were no arrests either, but seven people were evicted.
Rugby World Cup Minister Murray McCully says urgent steps need to be taken to prevent Friday night's bedlam from happening again.
An estimated 200,000 people swamped the cinner city. A number were injured and there were 64 arrests.
Mr McCully says event arrangements, especially along Quay street, were unacceptable and the problems need to be addressed quickly.
The minister says he has been in meetings with officials to ensure all is fixed before the next game at Eden Park on 17 September.
