A Hamilton man charged with planting suspicious packages in two city parks in June has pleaded not guilty.
Bradley Taylor, who is 27, faces four charges of threatening to harm people and property.
He appeared in the Hamilton District Court today and elected to go to trial.
Three suspicious packages were found in Gower Park and one in Melville Park, and the Defence Force explosive disposal team was called out each time. All the packages proved to be harmless.
Mr Taylor worked for the Hamilton City Council as a gardener and was a former volunteer firefighter.
He will appear again in court in November.
