Emergency services have been dealing with a serious, head-on car crash in Paengaroa, Western Bay of Plenty.
Police say the crash on State Highway 33 happened about 5.30pm today.
One man was trapped inside his car and had to be cut out by the Fire Service.
He has life-threatening injuries and two other men were seriously injured.
The accident left State Highway 33 fully blocked, with diversions in place.
