A teenager accused of attacking an elderly couple in their Waikanae home has made a brief appearance in court today, on his 18th birthday.
Hohepa Wallace from Otaki faces two charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two of burglary.
His lawyer Janine Bonifant told the Porirua District Court that requested reports had not been received and no bail application could be made today.
Judge John Walker remanded Mr Wallace in custody to reappear in court on Friday.
