A 16-year-old boy has been charged with two sex offences in Hamilton overnight.
The teenager has been charged with assault with intent to commit a sexual violation, and assault with intent to injure, after what the police are describing only as an "incident" at midnight in Mahoe Street.
Police said a number of members of the public called in to report his behaviour.
They would like to hear from anyone else who saw a teenage boy acting very drunkenly and wearing only boxer shorts.
The 16-year-old appeared in the Hamilton Youth Court this morning, and was bailed to an address in Auckland.
