A man who died shortly after arriving at an Auckland accident and emergency clinic with serious injuries last night had been in a fight, police say.
A 38-year-old man is helping police with their inquiries and they say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the homicide investigation.
The 32-year-old victim was driven to the Takanini Care Accident and Emergency Clinic, on Great South Road, about 8pm yesterday and died died shortly afterwards.
Police said he had suffered serious injuries and a post-mortem examination would take place today.
Forensic staff are examining the Porchester Road address where the fight happened and police are looking for a knife.
