The Labour Party has begun its post election review but will not rush to judge the policies it took into last year's campaign.
Labour's 34 MPs are in Taupo for their first caucus meeting under the leadership of David Shearer.
He used the first day of the two-day retreat to put pressure on the Government over its upcoming decision on the sale of the Crafar farms.
Radio New Zealand's political reporter covering the caucus meeting says the issue fits neatly with Labour's anti-asset sales message, which it will continue to push.
Other policy matters, such as raising the pension age and extending Working For Families to beneficiaries, are all up for review.
However Labour MPs say that process can not be rushed.
