Bennett on six-week fellowship in US

Social Development Minister Paula Bennett will be in the United States for the next six weeks on a Eisenhower Fellowship for women leaders.

Ms Bennett, who left New Zealand on Sunday night, will be looking at welfare programmes that involve corporates working with non-governmental organisations.

Her tour of the US includes visits to Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston and Washington DC.

Corrections Minister Judith Collins will be the acting Minister of Social Development and Employment while Ms Bennett is away.
