Public submissions can now be made on Government legislation amending the Emissions Trading Scheme.
The bill modifies the current scheme, which was passed last year by Labour.
The Government wants the amended scheme to be passed into law before a climate change conference being held by the United Nations in Copenhagen in December.
Closing date for submissions is Tuesday, 13 October.
