Former National Party leader Don Brash is expected to be named as the chair of the 2025 Taskforce.
The taskforce is part of the post-election confidence and supply agreement between National and the ACT Party.
Its brief is to look at how New Zealand can close the income gap with Australia by 2025.
Radio New Zealand's political staff say Dr Brash is likely to be named as the taskforce chair later this week.
