The Labour Party says Internal Affairs Minister Richard Worth should be sacked after admitting to using his diplomatic passport for a private trip.
Dr Worth has been reprimanded by the Prime Minister for travelling to India last month in the capacity of a private citizen but commenting as a Government minister.
Dr Worth told Parliament he travelled on a diplomatic passport, which he said is within the rules.
However, Labour MP Trevor Mallard says this contravenes the rules for ministers and Dr Worth should be sacked.
The Government says the use a diplomatic passport for ministers' public or private trips has been accepted practice since 1984.
