The Government says scrapping some programmes run by the Ministry for the Environment will remove the slogans of the previous Government.
Eighteen jobs will be lost as a result of a decision the Government to cut programmes including the Bioethics Council, and a carbon neutral public service programme. Two others will be scaled back.
Environment Minister Nick Smith says the carbon neutral public service was part of Labour's climate change "spin".
