The global recession is dominating talks between the Prime Ministers of New Zealand and Australia, John Key and Kevin Rudd.
Radio New Zealand's political editor says the two discussed the economy with Australian business leaders at a dinner at Mr Rudd's official residence in Sydney on Sunday night.
Mr Key meets Mr Rudd again on Monday morning before giving an address to the Trans-Tasman Business Circle.
