The latest Marae-Digipoll surveys suggest the Maori Party is ahead in both the Tamaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau seats.
In Tamaki Makaurau, 77% of those questioned said they preferred the Maori Party's Pita Sharples, compared with 13.5% for the nearest contender, Labour's Louisa Wall.
In Te Tai Tokerau the survey gave the Maori Party's Hone Harawira 69% support, compared with 26% support for Labour's Kelvin Davis.
In both electorates a strong majority indicated a preference for the Maori Party forming a coalition with Labour.
The survey questioned 400 potential voters in each of the two electorates between 15 September and 7 October.
The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9%.
