The MP at the centre of the David Henry inquiry will appear before Parliament's privileges committee on Wednesday.
The committee is looking into the unauthorised release of a journalist's email and phone records to the inquiry held by Mr Henry into the leak of a report on the government's electronic spy agency.
Fairfax journalist Andrea Vance had been in regular email contact with Peter Dunne, a former government minister and the leader of United Future.
Mr Dunne has always maintained he was not the source of the leak.
He says he was invited to appear before the Privileges Committee and believes it is appropriate for him to do so.
Mr Dunne says he has information that might be relevant to the committee's inquiry, in terms of the way data relating to him was handled.
