New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has acknowledged he's fighting a losing battle over a departure tax introduced by the British government.
Mr Key once again raised the issue during a meeting with the British Prime Minister, David Cameron in London.
he had previously asked David Cameron for a commitment to review the tax, which is applied to long haul flights leaving Britain.
Mr Key says given that Britain has a big budget deficit, he does not expect the tax will be reversed, at least in the short term.
