Sport: PNG brothers to unite at Widnes

The British super league club Widnes has signed Papua New Guinea Kumuls prop, Stanton Albert.

The 22 year old Albert joins the Vikings from the PNG Hunters and will get the opportunity to play alongside brother and fellow international, Wellington Albert, who is also on the books of the Widnes club.

Stanton Albert joins the club on a two-year deal, pending visa approval.

The prop has played five times for PNG, making three appearances at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup,

The signing comes after PNG centre Katio Ottio died days before his expected departure for the UK club this week.
