The Samoan tennis player Steffi Carruthers has qualified for the doubles main draw at the Surprise Tennis Classic in Arizona.
The 20 year old and partner Eva Raszkiewicz won their qualifying match 6-2 6-3 to advance to a first round meeting with the tournament second seeds.
Carruthers was beaten in singles qualifying earlier in the week by one of her upcoming doubles opponents.
