A Nelson waterfront home severely damaged by slips during record flooding in December last year is to be demolished.
The Wakefield Quay home was hit at the rear by a large slip, causing severe structural damage and pushing it forwards and sideways.
The Nelson City Council says the house is a public danger and has issued a notice for it to be pulled down.
The council says the owners are going through an emotional time and have requested privacy.
