Killer not disputing facts of case

3:13 pm on 21 February 2012

The man who has admitted murdering Carmen Thomas, his former girlfriend, has decided not to dispute the facts of the case against him.

Bradford Callaghan was charged with murdering Ms Thomas and with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The body of the 32-year-old was found in a crude grave in the Waitakere Ranges last year.

In an unexpected move, Callaghan entered guilty pleas late last year.

He was due to have a disputed facts hearing, but that has now been dropped and he will be sentenced late next month.
