A man has been charged with careless driving causing death after a man was killed on a rural road south of Hamilton.
The body of William Hoskins, 26, of Hastings, was found on Maychurch Road along State Highway 1B on Sunday morning. He had attended a wedding nearby on Saturday evening.
Police say a 47-year-old local man has been charged in relation to the death.
He will appear in the Hamilton District Court on Friday.
