Police say a woman has been taken to hospital after jumping off the Santa Regina ferry in Queen Charlotte Sound about 11.30pm on Thursday.
The woman was found about 1am on Friday, after a search involving the Westpac helicopter, the Coastguard, the Aratere and Arahura ferries, and at least five other vessels.
She was taken to Wellington hospital by the helicopter. Her condition is reported to be stable.
