A scrub fire that burned 300 square metres of bush on a steep slope in Governors Bay, near Christchurch, is not thought to have been suspicious.
The Fire Service was called to the Coronation Hill scenic reserve shortly after 10pm on Tuesday.
Crews from three tankers and two fire trucks extinguished the flames about 12.30 pm.
