Former champion New Zealand jockey Lisa Cropp will soon be free to ride again in Australia after escaping with a suspended sentence for a positive drug test.
Cropp, who is now based in Melbourne, was banned for a month, but stewards have suspended the ban for 12 months.
She will be able to ride again, possibly as early as Thursday, when an elective sample she provided last Thursday is cleared.
Cropp had pleaded guilty to taking a banned substance, Zoplicone, which is prescribed for insomnia.
