Former New Zealand cricketer Ewen Chatfield says Monday's Test victory over Australia was a triumph.
The Black Caps beat the Australians by seven runs in Hobart, to draw the series 1-1.
The victory was only the third for New Zealand in Australia and the first there for 26 years.
Chatfield says he was particularly impressed with the match winning performance of the bowler, Doug Bracewell.
He says the victory will be good for gate sales when Zimbabwe and South Africa tour New Zealand this summer.
The Daily Telegraph in Sydney headlines its coverage "Lowest of Lows .... Kiwi capitulation our worst ever loss".
For the Herald-Sun it was a "Day of Shame ... embarrassing loss to New Zealand exposes a top order in crisis".
And the Sydney Morning Herald reveals its inner Pollyanna with a column headlined: "You can feel this pain making Australia better."
