Police in Christchurch say they are treating the death of a teenage girl in a house fire as suspicious.
They were called to the Somerfield address shortly after 1.30pm on Friday, where the girl's body was found inside the house.
Police say the fire, which was put out by the Fire Service, appears to have been deliberately lit.
A post-mortem on the girl is expected to be carried out on Friday.
Police say she will not be named until next of kin have been notified.
