Police have charged a man after an officer was assaulted in Waikato.
The incident occurred at a property in Claudelands early on Tuesday when a constable was hit on the head during the process of making an arrest.
The officer was taken to Waikato Hospital with what appears to be a broken nose and possible concussion.
A man is expected to appear in the Hamilton District Court, charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
