A man who was attending a pre-match function at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday died of a heart attack in a corporate pavilion.
The ambulance service says the man, in his mid-fifties, collapsed at about 7.30pm and St John ambulance staff were unsuccessful in their attempts to resuscitate him.
The function was being held before the first Rugby World Cup semi-final.
