Police are investigating the death of a woman in the South Otago town of Balclutha.
They say they found the 41-year-old woman dead when they went to a domestic incident at a house in the town on Monday morning.
Officers are speaking to a 49-year-old man in relation to the death and are not seeking anyone else.
The property has been cordoned off while the scene is examined.
