Heavy rain is forecast in parts of central New Zealand and the Bay of Plenty on Sunday.
MetService says a frontal band is moving southwards but should weaken.
More heavy rain is expected in the upper South Island. A severe weather warning has been issued for the Taranaki, Bay of Plenty and Tongariro National Park ranges.
