The body of a man believed to be one of two fishermen missing in Waikato for more than a week has been found by searchers.
Jordan Pooley, 21, and James Roberts, 45, embarked on a fishing trip on Lake Arapuni near Putaruru on 28 August.
The alarm was raised three days later when a dog accompanying them returned home.
Taupo police area commander, Inspector Steve Bullock, says the body was found in The Landing area of the lake at about 4pm on Friday, but it has not yet been formally identified.
The search for the second body will continue on Saturday.
