Union members at Christchurch Polytechnic and Institute of Technology are on strike.
About 230 members of the Tertiary Education Union first went on strike there three weeks ago.
Members are unhappy about leave entitlements and working hours.
The strike is at the Sullivan Avenue campus is from 10.30am - 1.30pm on Thursday.
Union organiser Phil Dodds says the polytechnic is fixated on making employees work longer hours with less leave entitlements, without offering sufficient remuneration.
He says further strike action is possible.
