Police are investigating the stabbing of a 10-year-old boy at a South Auckland school.
A Counties Manukau police spokesperson says the stabbing happened at Jean Batten Primary School in Mangere on Wednesday.
They say a 10-year-old boy needed three stiches in his shoulder after another boy stabbed him with a small kitchen knife.
Police say they are still investigating what motivated the attack.
The school principal was on Monday unavailable for comment.
