Some Wellington inner city residents will be without water for the weekend while urgent repair work is carried out on a leaking water main.
Wellington City Council has advised that businesses and residents on the south side of Manners Street between Cuba and Victoria streets will be affected.
It is expected to take at least two days to excavate and repair the main, and another two days to reinstate the footpath and the road.
The council says motorists and bus commuters should also be prepared for delays.
Businesses have been given written notice of the works, and have been advised to store water to carry them through the shutdown period.
