Auckland International Airport Ltd is tightening its security leading up to the Rugby World Cup.
The company has started work on expanding the security screening area at the domestic terminal.
It expects to have the enlarged operation running in a matter of weeks.
The company says the expanded screening is needed to deal with an increase of passengers traveling at peak times.
