Two teenagers are dead following a car crash near Feilding on Saturday.
Police say it appears the young women were travelling from Sanson to Feilding, when their car lost control and ploughed into an oncoming Range Rover at about 1.30pm.
The 17-year-old driver from Feilding and her front seat passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Sanson, died at the scene.
The driver of the oncoming car is in Palmerston North Hospital with minor injuries.
Alcohol is not thought to have been a factor in the crash, which is now being looked into by the police Serious Crash Unit.
