Police in Auckland say they are following strong leads as they investigate the death by stabbing of a teenager at a party in Pakuranga on Friday night.
Emergency services arrived at a property on Greenhill Crescent at 11.10 pm to find an 18-year-old man dead in the middle of the street.
Police carried out search warrants on Saturday morning and say they have found a number of knives but are yet to determine the weapon used in the fatal stabbing.
They say a 17-year-old's birthday party, under adult supervision, was underway at the time of the incident.
Investigators have interviewed most of the 30 party-goers but say they need to speak to a young man who was among the guests.
The teenager's body was removed from the scene late on Saturday afternoon.
