Police are investigating a body found in the town of Helensville, about 50 kilometres north west of Auckland.
The sex and age of the dead person is not known at this stage.
It's understood the body was found at about 4.30pm on Friday in a garden outside a private house.
Police from Auckland have gone to the Helensville property to investigate.
No further information is available at this stage.
