Nelson rugby leaders say the Super rugby knockout game between the Crusaders and the Sharks on Saturday will be the ideal rehearsal for the Rugby World Cup.
Trafalgar Park has had 13,000 temporary seats installed in advance of the Cup and it's hoped most of those will be filled for the game on Saturday. The ground's capacity is more than 18000.
Tasman Rugby Union chief executive Peter Barr says Rugby World Cup systems will be tested including security, catering and new seating.
The Rugby World Cup tournament begins on 9 September, with the final to be played at Eden Park in Auckland on 23 October.
