Rugby World Cup final tickets snapped up

12:20 pm on 3 June 2011

Second-chance tickets for the Rugby World Cup final have been snapped up within 15 minutes.

From 9am on Friday, fans were given the chance to buy final and semi-final tickets not previously available.

Only those who had been in the original ballot for final and semi-final tickets were able to buy - but this time it was on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The tickets ranged in price from $300 to $1300 and included those that were not taken up by people who had won the right to purchase them in the first ballot.

Rugby New Zealand 2011 won't say how many tickets were made available.

Any remaining tickets to other games, including the rescheduled Christchurch matches, will be made available to the public on 4 July. Cup organisers say they may include a few final and semi-final tickets.
