A boy has died after his bicycle and a van collided in the Napier suburb of Taradale.
The St John ambulance service says the crash happened on Guppy Road just after 8am on Wednesday.
Paramedics performed CPR on the 11-year-old for some time, but were unable to revive him.
Police say the serious crash unit is at the scene and Guppy Road is closed between Osier Road and Elbourne Street on Wednesday morning.
