Job cuts mooted by DHB

12:06 pm on 27 January 2011

Nelson Marlborough District Health Board is planning to save money by cutting a number of jobs.

The restructuring is intended to clarify roles and responsibilities and contribute to $20 million worth of savings over three years.

Chief executive John Peters says the proposal affects about 140 of the DHB's 350 support staff, but not medical staff.

Mr Peters says three or four staff may lose their jobs and others will be asked to apply for new positions.
