A 21-year-old man has appeared in Hastings District Court charged with the manslaughter of a baby boy.
Five-month-old Mikara Ranui Reti was admitted to Hawke's Bay Hospital last Tuesday, where he died from serious internal injuries.
The accused man was on Tuesday granted interim name suppression and remanded in custody for a further appearance next week.
